So- you've been engaged for a while now, and odds are that you've been going through the (maybe stressful) motions of a groom. That's great and all, and we're definitely happy for you and your significant other- but our guess is that you've also been spending more $$$ than usual for your events and last minute things coming up.

Here at Marke, we try our best to make this an affordable purchase for you. But hey, wouldn't it make sense to take care of the things you've just bought? Like your Marke wedding band? We're here to tell you a few things:

Facts only

Your wedding band is 14K Gold- which is made by mixing pure gold with copper, nickel, zinc, and other metals. These non-gold metals are added to make the alloy more durable than pure gold, which is pretty soft. Basically, you're in good shape with our bands and under any normal-ish circumstances, it will never bend or break on you.

Takin' care of business

It's gonna get dirty, scratched, and nicked. Let's face it, your band is going to look brand spankin' new right out of the box (that's our job), and it'll stay like that for a while, but ultimately it will get dinged up because after all, its on your hand. Don't worry, that's part of the look- it should look worn and full of experience. However, we do recommend taking off your band when showering, moisturizing (oh yes, especially during those winter months), and working out with any weights (have you been lifting?). That way, it'll keep its polish (or matte) even longer. If you'd like to give your ring some light polishing while at home, we recommend this Tiffany cloth.

So fresh, so clean

Maybe it's time for a touch up- let's say you want to refurbish your band and have it look just like the way it did when you first got it. We get it, there's nothing quite like new. We suggest emailing us and we'll take care of it- it won't take long and won't break your wallet at all. Or, if you take it to a local jewelry store (boooo, salesman!), they might be able to do it for you too, but be on the lookout for that up-charge!

That's all, folks. That's pretty much all you need to worry about after you get married- just kidding- but hopefully.
